How to know if you are passing page rank? Well, if you are link building and the links are pointing to http://website.com and http://www.website.com you most like are sharing page rank between the two. If so... you are losing out on improving search engine ranking.

In most search engine optimization companies, you can do a test to see if they are using URL rewrites by typing in there URL with the "www" and without the "www". If you type in with out the "www" does it go to the url with the "www". Well, it should or at least go to one unversal domain, not one of the other.
